Terms and Conditions of Use

These terms and conditions of use (“Terms and Conditions”) and our privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) govern your use of this blog, and any content made available from or through the blog located at https://blog.oup.com, including any subdomains (the “Blog” or the “OUP Blog”). This Blog is made available by Oxford University Press USA (“OUP US”, “we,” “us,” “our”). By using the Blog, you are agreeing to the practices set out in this statement.

Usernames and Passwords

Where you have registered on the Blog and have been provided with a username and password, you agree not to make available your username and/or password to anyone. If there has been a disclosure of your username and/or password, you agree to notify us promptly of such disclosure so that OUP can take appropriate security measures and provide you with a new username and password.

User Content and Submitted Materials

Suspension and Termination

We will determine, in our discretion, whether there has been a breach of these terms in connection with your use of the Blog. When we determine that such a breach has occurred, we may take such action as we deem appropriate including but not limited to blocking without warning or discussion any user who does not adhere to these terms, and remove all previous posts and contributions.

Failure to comply with these terms may result in immediate temporary or permanent withdrawal of your access to and/or right to use the Blog.

Copyright Infringement Complaints

OUP respects, and takes the protection of intellectual property rights seriously. If you believe that any content on this the Blog infringes your copyright and you wish it to be taken down, please send us a written notice by email or post which includes:

(i) a physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or someone authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

(ii) Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or, if multiple copyrighted works at a single website are covered by a single notification, a list of such works at that website.

(iii) Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing (or to be the subject of infringing activity) which is sufficient to allow OUP to identify and locate of the material.

(iv) Your address, telephone number, and, if available, an email address at which you may be contacted.

(v) A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.

(vi) A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
