The global plastic problem [podcast]

June 5th is World Environment Day. It is the UN’s most important day for encouraging worldwide awareness and action for the protection of our environment. World Environment Day is the “people’s day” for doing something to take care of the Earth—locally, nationally, or even globally. This year’s host is India and their theme of “Beat Plastic Pollution” aims to draw attention to the dangers of plastic pollution, its scale, and what we can do to address it.

For this episode, Senior Marketing Manager, Erin Katie Meehan, sat down with authors Judith S. Weis (Marine Pollution: What Everyone Needs to Know®), Daniel K. Gardner (Environmental Pollution in China: What Everyone Needs to Know®), and Philip J. Landrigan (Children and Environmental Toxins: What Everyone Needs to Know®) to discuss the global plastic problem and how it impacts a global population.
