It’s Friday and the beginning of a long weekend (thank you MLK Jr.), so I thought I would provide some quality procrastination. I spend the first hour of my day at work reading my bloglines, an RSS aggregator, enjoying all the wonderful literary, academic, and bizarre blogs out there. I thought I would compile a list of my favorite links this week. Check them out, quality procrastination guaranteed.
- Gay Penguins banned in North Carolina? (The Millions).
- A poem by Primo Levi to remind you how much you love Friday. (Maud Newton)
- A really cool event that happened last night, which luckily you can attend next month. (Lux Lotus).
- The Grumpy Old Bookman, this UK blogger is a must-read.
- An A-Z list, Devil’s Dictionary style, by a very funny book agent. (Miss Snark, the literary agent).
- A defense of a Liberal Arts Education (Kenyon Review Blog) (Full Disclosure: My liberal arts education got me a pretty sweet job, editing this blog).
- The worst book covers of 2006. (Bookslut).
- Last, but not least, how to find your cell phone when you misplace it. (Lifehacker).
