World Humanitarian Day minisode [podcast]

Humanitarianism is an active belief in the value of human life. World Humanitarian Day is held every year on 19 August to pay tribute to aid workers who risk their lives in humanitarian service, and to rally support for people affected by crises around the world.

On this minisode of The Oxford Comment, Marketing Coordinator, Katelyn Phillips, speaks to Hannah Oliver-Depp, Communications Director of WORD Bookstores and Cafe in Jersey City and Brooklyn. Oliver-Depp discusses the role of bookstores in the community and their push-pull relationship with activism.
