		<description>&lt;i&gt;Libel&lt;/i&gt; retains its ancient legal meaning in admiralty law, where the civil law prevails even in otherwise common-law countries.  For example, one begins an &lt;i&gt;in rem&lt;/i&gt; action against a ship for damage done by it by filing a libel.

I remember reading that in Greek itself, &lt;i&gt;sl-&lt;/i&gt; and &lt;i&gt;sn-&lt;/i&gt; are unknown, appearing only in the shapes &lt;i&gt;skl-&lt;/i&gt; and &lt;i&gt;skn-&lt;/i&gt;.</description>
