		<description>From the lexicographer&#039;s perspective, it also has to be an exercise in masochism. As soon as someone announces that X is the Word of the Year, that&#039;s an open invitation for the rest of the world to explain (a) why that&#039;s wrong, (b) what it should be, and (c) how the lexicographers are &quot;out of touch&quot; with &quot;real people.&quot; When it comes to word meanings, you can&#039;t please any of the people any of the time ;)</description>
