This whole "news" story is stupid. This is the most over-hyped, fear driven media event I've seen in 40 years. Fewer people in total have died from swine flu than die in US auto accidents each day (22 total in Mexico as of yesterday vs. about 100 deaths in the US per day in cars). Maybe we should ban all cars because if I walk down the street I might get hit and killed. Maybe we should all stay in our homes and hide until we starve. People need to stop fueling fear based media. Simply by reading this trash we create a business case for irresponsible reports to hype up something that creates fear for everyone which results in damage to our economy; in the mean time Pfizer and Merck will be out there paying the media to keep it up so they can make a bunch of money pushing pills and vaccines that don't help. We should focus on being healthy and our bodies would naturally fight off a lot of these issues. We have for thousands of years but we have become a society of garbage eaters that breaks down our immune systems. What is flu season anyway? Are there more germs? No. Flu season starts around Halloween when we all eat a bunch of sugar. It continues on through November when we over-gorge on massive carbohydrates and protein with little to no vegitables. It moves on through Christmas where we eat tons of candy, drink lots of alcohol and again gorge ourselves with carbs and protein and no vegitables. We just about wrap it up in January after getting blasted out of our minds on alcohol, and trash food at New Years parties but then open it up one more time in February when we hand out tons of candy for Valentines and go out for some more gorging on unhealthy garbage. We then give it one last push with Easter when we hand out massive amounts of candy and convene to gorge on unhealthy food one more time. Then magically it dwindles away until the next October. Just try eating REALLY healthy for one entire "flu season". Eat 3 times as many vegis as you do protein and carbohydrates, and drink at least 2 quarts of water per day. You'll not only be healthier, you'll probably drop about 20 pound or more. Its time to cut out the fear on this nonsense and have a dialog about eating properly to be and stay healthy.
