Was interested to see 'pig-dog' and its use in 1894 - especially as it refers to the male of the species. Here in NZ it has been used (in my personal experience) over the last 20 years at least - getting pretty trendy in the 80's (oh - wasn't everything trendy then!) - more a southern than northern thing though - it's pretty flash up north :-) We've used it so much now that you would often just not bother calling a rough 'n' ready chick a pig-dog but just a ... Was interested to see ‘pig-dog’ and its use in 1894 – especially as it refers to the male of the species.
