I find it very interesting that we use the word leadership to describe what we are looking for in our president and yet we allow the definition of that word to be so flexible that anyone can squeeze into it. This is why I have narrowed my definition of leadership. In my definition our current president would not fit. With a 28% approval rating from those whom he serves he cannot be called a leader - he just happens to be sitting in that person's seat until we can do something about it. I define a leader as one who crafts and articulates a vision in such a way that others will line up behind him to make his vision a reality. So, which candidate do you think would appear to be doing a better job of creating a vision for our future? If I use my definition of leadership then I clearly could not call a candidate that would use fear to scare us into voting for him a leader. We did that already (a couple of times). Unfortunately, our system is not designed for us to choose a leader. It is designed for us to choose the best representative for our own interests. So, tell me, why do we keep putting the leadership tag on our politicians?
