Friday procrastination: link love – interviews, ice, and intellectuals

Happy Friday all! This is Cassie, bringing you what I’ve been reading this week. I actually have today off, but hopefully these links will provide you with a bit of entertainment as you wait for the weekend to officially begin.

As I’m sure you all know, George Carlin died on Sunday. Here’s his last interview. He will be missed.

Congrats to the following OUP authors who made Foreign Policy’s list of The World’s Top 20 Public Intellectuals: Abdolkarim Soroush, Tariq Ramadan, Bernard Lewis, Richard Dawkins and an honorable mention for John Esposito.

I’ll admit it, I usually wish I was British. I love the accent. But this makes me rethink that a little.
