I'm not sure if this is a typo or not, because if it isn't I don't understand what is being meant by "there comes a point when such ideas ["non-theism or anti-theism"] start to unpick the basis of worship and business." What does unpick mean here? And does this observation from from a non-theist or anti-theist or from a theist who intimates this to be happening based on a theological a priori?

"What then holds these Quakers together is their form of worship and doing business"
Pink Dandelion

Unlike many churches that have been given the gifts and symbols of,creeds confessions, liturgies, outward sacraments, clergy, to help
people find their way to the holy.

The gifts and symbols that has been given to Friends for Three Hundred years to help people find their way to the holy to Jesus,
The waiting silent worship and
handful of shared values.

Marcus Borg in his book The Heart of Christianity he speaks of of thin place where heaven and Earth seem more intimately linked, where our souls can experience God presence through the Holy Spirit".

I come to believe that our Worship and Values can become these thin places, threads of unity and spiritual transformation.

The Short Introduction is what I recommend to people who ask me what Quakers believe. It's comprehensive and balanced (At least, it seems so to me. How can anyone in this Society know if something is really balanced from the point of view of everyone else in it?).

I also appreciate Ben's previous work that has done so much to help me understand the "Liberal liberal" domain of the Society in which I find myself planted. "Liberal about belief, conservative about practice." Why didn't I realize that?

Great job, Ben!

Inevitably, the liberal Friends position gets a highly nuanced exposition, but your interview's readers ought to know that the evangelical end, to which I belong, is almost equally diverse, both in theology and in worship practice.

It is, doubtless, both childish and frivolous of me to write this ... but Pink Dandelion? What a tremendous name!

I want to be called Pink Dandelion!

(Oh, and kudos to Quakers too. War always wrong. Always.)
