Sorry, but it was a history of Australia, and what the kid said was:

What did you bring that book that I don’t like to be read to out of about Down Under up for?

Every night a father would read to his son before tucking him into bed. Frequently the father would read from Tolkien's "Lord of the Rings," as it was his favorite book when he was a child, but the son, perhaps disillusioned with fantasy or uninterested in Tolkien's provocative and detailed imagination, disliked the book.

One night, while the father and son were discussing which book to read, the father suggested, "Lord of the Rings."

The son, young and necessarily unfamiliar with the rules of prepositions, replied, "Why did you bring that book that I don't like to be read to out of up for?"

I'm excited about this project. My collegues and I are frequently puzzled by some native speakers who can't seem to understand that prepositions matter in their writing. Some students (usually ones that are poor readers) seem to think many prepositions are interchangeable.
