Walden Pond is a beautiful place that i wish to visit sometime. The history of the pond is very interesting and i see why Henry David Thoreau choose to live there for 2 days 2 months and 2 years. The trees make a great part of the pond espescially in fall when the leaves are red and yellow, and the horizon is beautiful during the sunset.

In traditional New England onomastics, a pond was a pond and a lake a lake, distinguished by whether they were spring-fed only (as Walden is) or stream-fed as well. Some ponds were renamed, as you point out, but others remain and are very large.

Alas! I uncovered the answer to my own question. This is not June's read. However, it may very likely be for me!

OK. So is this the pick for June? If so, I am pleased with it.

Nevertheless, I am sorry to say...that it is not at all clear as to where one can find the book-of-the-month...on this website.
