One Nation, Uninsured

The good people over at InsureBlog.com have finished their review of One Nation, Uninsured by Jill Quadagno. It is, on the whole, a reasonable treatment of Prof. Quadagno’s work from the opposite side of the debate. A debate that, in the end, boils down to one fundamental question, which InsureBlog formulates this way:

Where is the Constitutional prohibition against “unfairness.” Better yet, where is the Constitutional mandate for “fairness?” Because some people are not treated fairly, must everyone else be brought down to the lowest denominator? Wouldn’t it be more “fair” to make an effort to bring those less fortunate up to a better level?

We hope to have a rebuttal directly from Prof. Quadagno soon.
